An adorable tabby kitten whose family was tragically killed by coyotes was rescued underneath a Christmas tree in California. Dr. Alexis Siler, Helen Woodward Animal Center's veterinary director, was at a Valley Center Christmas tree lot with her son and daughter in late November with a goal to find the perfect Christmas tree to take home for the holidays, Fox 5 San Diego reported. But there was an unexpected gift lying just underneath the pine needles of their newly purchased tree - a lonesome eight-week-old kitten.
