Officials in Philadelphia are offering to fund women's pregnancies with 'no strings attached.' The pilot program, which was launched in June, has had 111 people sign up out of 250 available spaces. Pregnant residents will be paid $1,000 a month as part of the trial program, which is hoping to lower infant mortality rates in the city. The Philly Joy Bank is offering expectant mothers payments from their third month of pregnancy through their baby's first birthday.
