NYC FBI boss forced to resign after defiant email to staff amid Trump purge of Jan 6 prosecutors

The head of the FBI in New York has been forced to resign after several acts of defiance against the new Trump administration. Veteran agent James Dennehy had told his colleagues to 'dig in' against Trump's efforts to purge prosecutors who investigated and pursued January 6 defendants. He backed bureau leaders who refused to turn over the names of anybody who investigated the 2021 attack on the US Capitol. Dennehy also drew the ire of Attorney General Pam Bondi on Thursday after her highly anticipated Jeffrey Epstein files dump was criticized for failing to reveal anything new about the paedophile billionaire.
