A new experience is coming toAtlanta's Centennial Yards from the group that brought award-winning The Dead Rabbit to New York City.
The Irish Exit, a mix of classic Irish pub culture and a modern aesthetic, will open it's second location in Atlanta'sentertainment districtas part of the $5 billion, 50-acre redevelopment project.
TheCIM Groupannounced a lease had been signed for the new site on Dec. 9.
What is the Irish Exit?
The bar is a "concept" from the team that developed The Dead Rabbit, a bar in the financial district of lower Manhattan from Belfast-native Jack McGarry. The Dead Rabbit has been acknowledged by World's 50 Best Bars and the 2023 North America's 50 Best Bars.
The first Irish Exit was founded in 2023 in Penn Station, a busy transit hub in midtown Manhattan.
The bar is "a place for those seeking an authentic, modern Irish pub experience, adapted for those in transit, without ever compromising its high standards," the CIM Group said. "Expect Irish food, perfectly poured pints, an array of spirits, and cocktails for every occasion, including non-alcoholic options."
The experience is said to be where "tradition meets tomorrow" and showcases Irish hospitality with an "experience that highlights the modern Irish maker and the Ireland of today," according to the group.
What's new at Centennial Yards
"The Irish Exit joins a growing roster of high-profile tenants at Centennial Yards, including Live Nation, Cosm, Shake Shack and Khao Thai Isan from local favorite 26 Thai," CIM Group said.
Centennial Yards is being transformed into the "largest and most ambitious city center redevelopments in the country," the group said. Centennial Yards Company is owned by the CIM Group which also acts as the master developer.
The development work has begun ahead of the "global spotlight" expected to shine on Atlanta during the2026 FIFA World Cup, of which eight matches will be played at Mercedes-Benz Stadium in June and July.
