A consignment store in Colorado found a collection of homemade pipe bombs in one of its storage bins on Tuesday — and the staff have no idea where they came from.

When police arrived, they found the collection of homemade pipe bombs in a storage bin, according to the release. It's unclear if the items were on sale, left by a customer, or donated to the store.
The flabbergasted police called in the Grand Junction Police Department's Bomb Unit for backup. The bombs, complete with caps and fuses, were safely detonated later that night, according to the Craig Police Department.
The Craig Police Departmentshared a videoshowing a pitch-black field lit up by nearby police sirens.
"Fire in the hole!" someone repeatedly shouts off-camera, followed by an echoing explosion similar to cannon fire.
The consignment store didn't let the chilling find spoil their "hunt to find treasures," as advertised on theirwebsite.

The shop admitted that the explosives "could have come from anywhere" they have cleaned out in the past, including "audition rooms, storage units, and garages." They also aren't sure when or where they may have mistakenly taken in the bombs.
"Were you trying to go out with a bang?" one local joked in their comments.
"Well you know, never a dull moment around here!" the staff teased.
Many bombs from past wars have been unearthed over the last few years thanks in part to erosion and dedicated treasure hunters.
