After a raccoon broke into a Virginia liquor store and had a fun night, another creature in Wisconsin dropped in for dinner and had a small bite.
A raccoon dropped onto diners at a Wisconsin restaurant on Dec. 14 as they were trying to enjoy their dinner. The animal fell through a roof tile at the Grand Geneva Resort and Spa around 7:30 p.m. local time, according to reporting from theMilwaukee Journal Sentinel, part of the USA TODAY Network. The resort is located in Lake Geneva, Wisconsin, some 41 miles southwest of Milwaukee.
Officers with the Walworth County Sheriff's Office who responded to the resort said the raccoon bit a guest before they arrived on scene.
"One of the patrons tried to catch the raccoon, and he was the one that got bit," Lt. Pete Kruegertold the outlet.

From biting to drinking
The incident in Wisconsin isn't the only recent case of a raccoon causing havoc. Authorities responding to a break-in at a Virginia liquor store last month apprehended a drunk raccoon.
The raccoon crept into an ABC store in Ashland, Virginia, in the early morning hours on Nov. 29. After ransacking the shelves, the raccoon passed out intoxicated in the bathroom, the Hanover County Animal Protection and Shelter said in astatement.
When officials arrived on scene, they secured the animal and transported him back to a shelter. After a few hours of sleep and no signs of injury, "other than maybe a hangover and poor life choices," the raccoon was safely released back to the wild, thestatement said.
