Comedian Trevor Noah will return to host the Grammys for a sixth and final time. Ben Winston, the award show's executive producer, recently admittedthat it took a bit of convincing to bring Noah back.

"After last year's show, he respectfully said, 'Look, I've done a great five years, it's time to hand the microphone off to somebody else and move on,'" Winston said at a January press conference.

When a search for a suitable replacement proved fruitless, Winston sent a video to the formerDaily Showhost urging him to host one last time.

"I was literally, I was on my knees in this video, and I said, 'Please look at this incredible lineup that we've got on the show — the only thing that's missing is you,'" Winston said. "'Come back and do one final year, it's the last year on CBS, let's make it your last year too.'"

Obviously, Noah agreed.

Winston described Noah as a true "music fan," adding that the comedian approaches the show "as excited to be in the middle of that room as we all are to watch it, and I think that's what makes him the perfect host."
