Marcello Hernándezhas been teasing a wedding — but it doesn't look like he's actually getting hitched.
TheSaturday Night Livestarposted a videoon Instagram that appeared to show him preparing for a wedding on Tuesday.
The black-and-white video showed the comedian suiting up in a tuxedo, popping champagne, embracing his buddies, and sharing a tender moment with his real-life mother, Isabel Cancela, as she helps him with his bow tie. (Hernández's mom has previously appeared in cameos onSNL's Mother's Day episodes.)
The video led to widespread speculation that Hernández got married. The comedian has beendating Ana Amelia Batlle Cabral, a New York-based architect and designer, since 2025. The couple attended several events together last year, including a Met Gala afterparty, a screening ofThe Phoenician Schemein New York, and the premiere ofHappy Gilmore 2, which starred Hernández in a supporting role.

Representatives for Hernández and representatives forSNLdidn't immediately respond toEntertainment Weekly's request for clarification.
However, it's unlikely that Hernández and Cabral have tied the knot, as the comedian posted afollow-up videoon Wednesday that clarified that the entire endeavor is just promotion for his new comedy special,Marcello Hernández: American Boy, which premiered on Netflix on Wednesday.
In the video, Hernández appears in a church, seemingly positioned to marry the person standing opposite him — but the video then reveals that the "bride" is just a poster for the comedy special adorned with flowers.
"Hello, everyone, my name is Marcello Hernández, and my special is out now on Netflix," he says in the video.
The comedian's mother also appeared in the second video, dabbing a tear at the sight of her son's fictional nuptials.
Hernández first joined theSNLcast as a featured player at the start of season 48 in 2022. He was promoted to repertory player status at the start of season 50 in 2024.
