Evangeline Lillyis opening up about her brain health journey.

On Sunday, Jan. 25, the actress, 46, revealed in an Instagram post that she's spent a large amount of money trying to find the right remedy following herbrain injury.

PEOPLEpreviously reportedthat Lilly, who went through spells of fainting as a child, suffered a traumatic brain injury after fainting at a beach and falling face-first into a boulder last May.

"I have spent a lot of money getting evaluated and getting targeted, expert advice on how to heal my brain 🧠," Lilly wrote in the caption of her recent Instagram video. "Not everyone can afford to do this. This advice was for me specifically and may not be the exact right path for everyone. I am not a doctor nor an authority on any of this."

She added, "But in the absence of affordable medical care in this country, I am sharing some of the advice given to me. For each of the supplements I'm taking, I take ONE capsule a day. Much love 🩵."

In her video, she said, "I am getting experts to tell me how to remedy the deficiencies in my brain at the moment. I consider myself one of the extremely fortunate people in this country who can take care of my body the way it needs to be taken care of without money getting in the way of that."

Lilly added that she wanted to share what she's learning from experts so people who are also "experiencing repercussions from a TBI (traumatic brain injury), a concussion" can get help.

"Okay, supplements. So first thing in the morning, I'm taking something called NAC," theLoststar said. "They're free amino acids and these are 500 mg, and they're good for immune support and they're antioxidants."

Lilly revealed she's also taking creatine before giving a disclaimer that her son picked out the one she's currently using "from a kid at school."

"So don't take this brand as like, 'Oh, I'm recommending this brand.' I don't know if it's any good, but [I] eat with breakfast on an empty stomach before I eat anything else so that they're the first thing to go into my bloodstream," she said.

The Marvel star added that during lunchtime, she takes resveratrol and curcumin.

"Resveratrol is supposed to be also antioxidant and the curcumin is supposed to be anti-inflammatory, so good for anything inflammation-wise," she explained.

Lilly went on to say that daily Omega 3 was on her supplement list, as well as "a thing called coenzyme Q10."

"I can't even remember what that was supposed to do," she said before stating that the supplements were recommended by "a brain specialist that I visited in Honolulu on the island of Oahu."

Lilly continued, "And then I recently went to the Amen Clinics. They've added something to the recommendation that they say is like the limousine of supplements for brain and rehab. It's Brain and Memory Power Boost."

TheReal Steelstar explained that she would be taking the supplements until she felt her brain had gotten what it needed.

"And I will go through long stages where I'm not on any supplements and I use my food, and you know I buy my produce from a local farmer," she continued. "I try really hard to eat well so that my food is my nutrients, not my supplements."
