Joy Behar Is Absent from “The View ”for the Third Consecutive Day

Joy Beharonce again did not appear on the latest episode ofThe View,marking her third absence in a row.

On Wednesday, Jan. 28,Ana Navarrofilled in for Behar, 83, one day after also taking the comedian's spot due to what panelistWhoopi Goldbergbriefly shared was an unexplained ailment.

"We want to let you know Joy is out, she's not feeling well, so we want her to feel better and get her behind back here," Goldberg, 70, said on Tuesday, Jan. 27.

Behar also missed the Jan. 26 show, although she is regularly off on Mondays.

In November 2025, the comedian similarlytook several days away from her co-hostingduties. At the time, Goldberg revealed that Behar was injured and would be returning as soon as possible.

"Well, hello, hello, hello, and welcome toThe View, y'all," theSister Actactress said during the Wednesday, Nov. 12 taping, perEntertainment Weekly. She added, "Now, Joy is out because she hurt her foot, and hopefully she'll be back here tomorrow."

Later that week, Behardetailed the "very, very, very painful" incidentthat resulted in multiple episodes off-air, revealing that she had a broken toe.

"Now, I've been off for a few days as you might have noticed," she began the Friday, Nov. 14broadcast. "Here's what happened: I dropped my iPad on my foot and I broke my toe."

She then lifted her foot over the table, showing her three middle toes being held together by a bandage. "What they do is they put the toes together, because it's broken. And it's very, very, very painful. I do not recommend you droppinganythingon your toes."

Behar is one of the original members ofThe View,joining as a co-host for its 1997 debut. She left the gig in 2013, but returned in 2015 and has remained a fixture of the show ever since.

In an episode ofThe View's officialBehind the Tablepodcast last year, the Emmy winner recalled her agent initially advising her not to take the gig in the '90s.

"When I got this job — when was it? 1997? — I was sort of on the cusp of getting a sitcom. I had been in a sitcom already, and I'd done a pilot," explained Behar, who appeared on NBC's TV adaptation of the 1987 filmBaby Boomin the late '80s.

"The call comes for this job to doThe ViewwithBarbara Walters. Do you know that my agent told me not to take it," she continued. The agent, Behar added, argued that the show didn't pay enough, although she "knew that it would be a smart show" with Walters involved.
