How is Ainsley adjusting to college life?

Before we get into the power plays and police station drama, the finale briefly checks in on Ainsley at TCU. After barely surviving the drama with her non-binary roommate Paigyn (Bobbi Salvör Menuez), Ainsley is now struggling to keep up physically at cheerleading practice. The coaches and Paigyn notice this, pulling Ainsley aside and giving her some advice about getting stronger if she wants to make it through the season.
Later, things get uncomfortable when a group of high school boys start hanging around the bleachers and heckling the team. The trio then zeros in on Paigyn, and Ainsley puts them in their place. This finally breaks some of the tension between her and Paigyn, and by the end of practice, they are talking like actual friends instead of people who can barely stand to be in the same room together.
After practice, Ainsley tells her mom she wants to give dorm life another shot, and Angela couldn't be more proud of her daughter.
Does Cooper get charged with murder?

Cooper and Ariana have been through a lot this season, but they remain by each other's side in the end. Tragically, Ariana is attacked and almost sexually assaulted behind the bar where she works. Cooper arrives just in time and takes the man, Jonathan Reasner, down before things get worse.
The next day, Cooper begs Ariana not to go back to the bar, and she agrees. They head to the police station to file formal charges, but things take a turn when detectives set their sights on Cooper. They start questioning him, even suggesting he went too far in handling the situation.
"17 punches to the face, he was no longer a threat," one officer says.
Ariana then calls Rebecca (Kayla Wallace) to fill her in, explaining that Reasner died and the police are considering charging Cooper with murder. Rebecca heads to the station and calls Tommy on the way, asking him to pull any favors he can with authorities. Once she arrives, Rebecca makes it clear to everyone that pressing charges against Cooper would be a huge mistake.

Sheriff Walt Joeberg (Mark Collie) and Tommy take the matter up with the chief of police. Tommy points out that Reasner didn't die from the confrontation, but rather from a heart attack at the hospital. When one of the detectives questions whether the incident played a role, Tommy pushes back, saying the real issue was the danger Reasner posed to Ariana, and that it doesn't make sense for the police to side with a potential rapist.
In the end, Tommy successfully convinces the authorities not to press charges against Cooper. He lets Ariana and Cooper know the situation is resolved. Cooper admits he may have gone too far, but Tommy shuts that down, telling him that Reasner "didn't value her life, and now he don't have a life."
Is Tommy finally done working for M-Tex?

One of the season's biggest shocks comes in the penultimate episode, when Cami (Demi Moore) fires Tommy after weeks of butting heads over how the company should be run.
He spends the season trying to warn Cami about the massive risks she's taking, but she isn't interested in hearing it. Even though Danny "Gallino" Morrell (Andy García) had already told Tommy that Cami might look for a reason to push him out, it still comes as a surprise when he's actually ousted.
By the finale, Tommy is weighing his options. He could easily land somewhere else, but it's obvious he's done working for other people. So, instead of jumping to another company, Tommy decides to start his own.
He launches CTT Oil Exploration and Cattle, with CTT standing for Cooper, Tommy, and Thomas (a.k.a.Sam Elliott's T.L.). The cattle reference isn't a real business move; it's just there because no one else had the name, and it makes the paper work easier.
Toward the end of the season 2 finale, Tommy gathers Cooper, Ariana, and the rest of the crew to lay out the plan. Cooper's leases are producing very well, so Tommy cut a new deal with Gallino to walk away from M-Tex and finance exploration with CTT at a 50-50 split. Even better for the team, Tommy announces that 25% of the profits will be put in a pool and shared among the employees.
The new company leadership is quickly locked in, too. Cooper will be president, Tommy steps in as senior vice president, Nate (Colm Feore) will handle the money as treasurer, and Rebecca will be chief operating officer while also taking care of legal matters as chief counsel.
Dale (James Jordan) will lead exploration, T.L. is set to manage drilling, and Boss (Mustafa Speaks) will run the crew. Tommy also offers Ariana a job managing the office, so she can keep working without having to go back to the bar.
What happens at the end ofLandmanseason 2?

After getting CTT off the ground and filling everyone in, Tommy heads back home to be with Angela. As they watch the sunset together, Tommy says that tough days are coming for them, but "not today. Today, we win."
Angela reminds him that she "wins every day," and he does too… he just doesn't always notice it. She goes inside to take a bath, and Tommy follows.
