Nick Faldo returns home following open-heart surgery

Six-time major champion Nick Faldo announced that he is headed home following open-heart surgery.

Faldo, 68, underwent a preventative procedure at The Cleveland Clinic.

"After two weeks in Cleveland, Nick Faldo, and his wife, Lindsay, are on their way home following a successful, scheduled preventative open-heart surgery to repair his enlarged aorta, performed by world-renowned cardiac surgeon Dr. Lars Svensson at The Cleveland Clinic," read a post from Faldo's official X account on Friday.

"... Home never felt so good."

Faldo won three times at both the Masters (1989, 1990 and 1996) and The Open Championship (1987, 1990 and 1992) and finished with 43 professional victories. The Englishman was named the PGA Player of the Year in 1990 and was inducted into the World Golf Hall of Fame in 1997.
