The Voiceseason 29 will debut on Feb. 23 with a two-hour premiere episode.

The first episode will be followed by two more the same week, plus two-hour episodes airing on Feb. 25 and Feb. 26, per the network.

Levine,Kelly ClarksonandJohn Legendare returning forThe Voiceseason 29. Notably, there will not be a fourth coach.

Since the reality competition show's debut in 2011, the three singers have appeared on and off. Clarkson was most recently on season 23, while Levine and Legend sat in the red chairs during season 27.

Per NBC, they are "powerhouse coaches who form the only panel in the show's history comprised entirely ofVoicewinners."

What is the new format forThe Voiceseason 29?

The Voiceis refreshing its format for season 29, calledThe Voice: Battle of Champions.

For the new installment, there are three coaches instead of the usual four, and each coach will have 10 artists on their teams. In another twist, the competition will feature four rounds.

For the Blind Auditions, the coaches will go head-to-head in a Triple Turn Competition, where they will try to earn the most three-chair turns. The winner will gain "a special advantage in the next round," according toNBC Insider.

During the Battles, the coach with the most three-chair turns will be awarded a Super Steal, a power that can be used once and overrides the other coaches' attempts.

The Knockouts round will feature an "in-season all-star competition," with the coaches recruiting two performers from their teams in previous seasons.

The show will conclude with a Top 9 semifinal, leading to a Top 4 finale, where for the first time, "a new voting block comprised of super fans and pastVoiceartists will be involved."

  • Team John: Maelyn Jarmon (season 16) and Renzo (season 27)

  • Team Adam: Javier Colon (season 1) and Jordan Smith (season 9)

According toDeadline, the coach with the most wins in the sing-offs will have a second finalist in the finale.

The special episode will also see the return ofCeeLo Green, who was a coach on the first three seasons ofThe Voice, and is now back to pick the winner of every All-Star Showdown.
