It was a slow start for OSU, with quarterback Julian Sayin and company only scoring on one of their first 5 offensive possessions. Since then, however, the Buckeyes have flipped the script, putting points on the board on three of their last four possessions.
Their latest score came courtesy of Heisman favorite Jeremiah Smith. Smith had been quiet in the first half, only hauling in two receptions for 20 yards before delivering the biggest play of the game.
Facing a fourth-and-one challenge, Sayin took a risk by going deep and giving his top target an opportunity to make a play. Jeremiah Smith did what he does best by going up in double coverage and snatching Sayin's throw out of the air for a sensational 38-yard touchdown.

With the touchdown, Smith has 39 receiving touchdowns in his Ohio State career, leaving him neck and neck with former Michigan wide receiver Braylon Edwards for the most receiving touchdowns in Big Ten history. Going forward, Smith is one touchdown away from claiming the record outright and adding another milestone to his already illustrious career in Columbus.
