Washington football reportedly eyeing Arizona QB commit as flip target

About Our Ads Advertisement Advertisement Advertisement Even after seeing quarterback Caden Jones commit to the Arizona Wildcats in early July, Jedd Fisch and the Washington Huskies coaching staff haven't stopped recruiting the three-star prospect.

According to a report from Rivals' Adam Gorney (subscription required) , the Huskies have continued to call the product of Crean Lutheran High School, who is ranked as the No. 631 overall recruit and No. 36 quarterback in the 2027 class by the 247Sports Composite, every week after hosting him on an official visit in early June.

The Baylor Bears coaching staff, which also welcomed the signal caller to campus, has also tried to keep itself in the mix, but after four-star quarterback Blake Roskopf decommitted from Washington's class on Wednesday, the Huskies may turn up the heat and try to get him to flip his pledge with less than a month to go before the early signing period opens.

Fisch and quarterbacks coach J.P. Losman have been in pursuit of Jones for a long time. Early on in his recruitment, the Huskies attempted to separate themselves from the pack of his 40 offers by utilizing basketball coach Danny Sprinkle to extend him a dual-sport offer.

Before his commitment to Arizona, Jones had taken several unofficial visits to Washington as the Huskies made a big push to add the promising athlete, who displays an impressive ability to extend plays with his legs and push the ball downfield from outside the pocket on film.

The Huskies may also make a run at local four-star quarterback Sione Kaho out of Lincoln High School in Tacoma, who committed to Stanford less than a month after Roskopf made his initial pledge to UW.
