Rafael Benitez claims he understands the rationale Jurgen Klopp has decided to step down as Liverpool manager and only has 'constructive words' to say concerning the 'monumental job' he has carried out at Anfield.
Final Friday, Klopp sent shockwaves around the footballing landscape as he announced his impending departure in an interview with Liverpool's official web site, citing a scarcity of 'power' after eight-and-a-half trophy-laden years on Merseyside.

'Let's hope Liverpool will do properly for now and when another coach comes too. I hope the most effective for the club.'
Within the wake of Klopp's bombshell announcement, titan Liverpool defender Virgil van Dijk raised doubts over his own long-term future at the membership.
Asked whether or not he might envisage being part of the post-Klopp era at Liverpool, the Dutchman stated: 'That's an enormous question. Nicely, I don't know.
'The membership may have an enormous job on their arms. That is well known.
