Ford recalls thousands of best-selling pickup trucks due to major malfunction

The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) has issued a recall for more than 144,500 Ford Maverick pickup trucks because rear view cameras are malfunctioning. On Thursday, the American motor company recalled 144,516 of its 2022-2024 Ford Maverick cars that have Connected Touch Radio (CTR) because the 'rearview camera may freeze when the vehicle is in reverse,' NHTSA reported. The faulty camera can 'increase the risk of a crash' because it can give a 'false representation of where the vehicle is relative to its surroundings,' the report said.
