Johnny Gaudreau's widow Meredith admits it's been 'really hard' to watch the hockey season start up again just weeks after her husband's tragic death. Gaudreau, an NHL veteran who was poised to enter his third season with the Columbus Blue Jackets in 2024, and his younger brother Matthew were killed after being hit by an alleged drunk driver while out cycling in New Jersey last month. The pair lost their lives the night before their sister Katie's wedding, while both of their partners are currently expecting children.
