A mother bled to death after stomach surgery in Turkey went wrong, an inquest has found. Glamorous driving test examiner Janet Savage, 54, had travelled to the country to undergo a gastric sleeve operation, supposed to help her lose weight, the coroner was told. She paid £2,750 for a package including flights and the medical procedure via a health tourism company, after her body mass index (BMI) reached a score of 30.
