Coffee crisis as Starbucks app goes down for Americans heading to work

Starbucks' mobile app went down on Friday, impacting Americans on their way to work less than a day after it dropped it's new holiday menu. Downdetector, which tracks app and website outages, reported that more than 2,500 customers were complaining about issues with the app since about 7:00am ET. The outage has spread across the US, affecting customers in major cities like New York, Dallas, Washington, DC and Boston.
