Former New York Giants running back Charlie Evans has died at the age of 76. According to the New York Post, Evans died at his home in Longview, Texas on November 4. However, no cause of death has been announced yet. Evans was selected by the Giants in the 1971 NFL Draft and spent the first month of his professional career in a secondary squad. His opportunity came when injuries mounted up for the Giants and he seized his chance, scoring five touchdowns over three games.
