
Doctors sound alarm as measles outbreak in Texas surges to 124 cases... becoming biggest cluster in decades
The ongoing measles outbreak in West Texas has reached 124 cases, making it the largest cluster in the state in the past three decades. The Texas Health Department confirmed the reported cases crossed the 100 mark today. Overall, 18 people have been hospitalized. Officials said 62 cases are of children between the ages of five and 17 while 39 are of toddlers aged four and below. Only five of those infected have been vaccinated with the measles (MMR) vaccine.
