Journalists at the Los Angeles Times have launched a fiery rebellion against the publication's 'red-pilled' owner, who recently announced voluntary buyouts to employees. LA Times owner Patrick Soon-Shiong, 72, is facing criticism from within his award-winning publication after taking a swipe at his own staffers who feel they've worked strenuously to perform with little positive reinforcement, StatusNews reports. The traditionally left-leaning publication, headquartered in Los Angeles, has been struggling commercially in recent years due to a decline in readership as Soon-Shiong's battles to sway employees to 'buy into' his vision to cater to readers on both sides of the political spectrum.
