President Donald Trump signaled he likes the idea of sending some of the DOGE savings directly back to taxpayers, but the idea has been met with skepticism by even his allies on Capitol Hill. Trump said he was considering giving 20 percent of savings from Elon Musk's effort to cut federal spending back to U.S. citizens and another 20 percent to pay down the national debt at a conference in Miami on Wednesday.
