Markets rally as Mexico tariffs halted after Trump convinces neighbor to send 10,000 troops to the border
Mexico has successfully negotiated a one-month delay on Donald Trump's planned 25 percent tariffs, which were set to take effect on Tuesday. Stocks trimmed some losses after the announcement but remained deep in the red. The S&P 500 dipped about 0.8 percent after Mexico's update, while the tech-heavy Nasdaq remained down more than 1 percent. Global stocks had plunged on Monday morning after President Donald Trump announced wide-reaching tariffs on Mexico, Canada and China, over the weekend.
