New Yorkers rage over soaring gas and electric prices amid Democrats' green bill
Energy bills for New Yorkers have skyrocketed in the last three years, but the pain in the wallet won't be stopping any time soon due in part to a climate change bill heralded by state Democrats. Con Edison proposed a rate hike in late January that will make the average New York City resident shell out $158 more per month for their gas and electric than they did in 2022, based on data from the company.
