A final poll ahead of tomorrow's German election has predicted that the far-right Alternative for Germany (AfD) party will see a major increase in votes, but not enough to overtake Friedrich Merz of the CDU. A little more than a month after German president Frank-Walter Steinmeier called for an election following a vote of no confidence against chancellor Olaf Scholz of the centre-left Social Democratic Party, Germans will have their chance to vote tomorrow.
