Russian President Vladimir Putin is ready to hold peace talks with Ukrainian leader Volodymyr Zelensky, the Kremlin insisted today, as senior U.S and Russian officials meet in Saudi Arabia. Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said Putin is prepared to speak 'if necessary' but repeated questions previously raised around Zelensky's legitimacy as Ukrainian president. It comes as U.S. and Russian officials meet at the Diriyah Palace in Riyadh which could pave the way for face to face talks between US President Donald Trump and Russian President Vladimir Putin.
