A Napa Valley mother was allegedly driving while intoxicated when she crashed her car Sunday morning, killing her two young children. Yesica Barajas, 31, has been arrested on suspicion of DUI-related charges for the crash that took the lives of her son, 10-year-old Damien Montanez, and daughter, nine-year-old Aaliyah Montanez. Authorities say her 2006 Nissan sedan veered off the eastern edge of the Highway 29 off ramp at around 7am, then crashed into a tree 20 to 30 feet below an embankment, the Press Democrat reports.
