Dollar General is closing 96 stores in early 2025, along with 45 locations under its pOpshelf brand. Another six pOpshelf stores will be converted into Dollar General locations, the company said in its latest earnings report released Wednesday. The discount retailer, which operates more than 20,000 stores nationwide, said the closures come after a review of its store portfolio — with the shops all not making enough money. The company has not yet announced which stores will be affected.
