Shock hit the gamer community this morning after a hotly anticipated console announced a delay. The Nintendo Switch 2, a remake of the portable console that sold like gangbusters in 2017, was supposed to start pre-orders on April 9. But the company confirmed to DailyMail.com that it needs time to assess President Donald Trump's tariff policy. 'Pre-orders for Nintendo Switch 2 in the US will not start April 9, 2025 in order to assess the potential impact of tariffs and evolving market conditions,' Nintendo sources said.
