A South Carolina man allegedly used his close relationship with a local police officer to influence an investigation into a fatal shooting he was involved in, according to newly unearthed recordings. Weldon Boyd shot and killed Scott Spivey, 33, on September 9, 2023, following a road rage incident in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. A drunken Spivey is said to have waved his .45 caliber pistol at Boyd and his friend Bradley Williams following a near miss with their vehicles.
