A$AP Rockyis gearing up to release his first full album in eight years, and some big-name celebs are along for the ride.
The Grammy-nominated rapper dropped "Punk Rocky," the first single off his highly anticipated album "Don't Be Dumb," and its accompanyingmusic video– which he co-directed – on Jan. 5. In a surprise for fans, the video featuresWinona Ryder,Danny Elfman, Thundercat and A$AP Nast.
As the "Highest 2 Lowest" actor deepens his roots in Hollywood, he partnered withTim Burtonto create the cover art for "Don't Be Dumb," which features six of Rocky's "signature personas," or alter egos, from the record, including Gr1m, Rugahand, Babushka Boi, Shirthead and Dummy.
Described as an "indie subversive track," "Punk Rocky" sets "the tone for this new era" in the musician's career, according to a press release.
In the interim between 2018's "Testing" and "Don't Be Dumb," Rocky has been plagued by his music getting leaked online.
"At this point I've been working on music for six years, but they leak my music and I get over it and say, 'F--- it,'" hetold Billboardin 2024. "They leak a lot of the music and it ruins it. Like my 'Taylor Swif' video. I was pissed off about it, so I never released it."

In between releases, such as his contributions to the "Highest 2 Lowest" soundtrack, singles like "Taylor Swif" and collaborations with the likes of J. Cole and Anderson .Paak, Rockyhas welcomed three childrenwith Rihanna, headlined festivals such as Rolling Loud,cochaired the 2025 Met Galaand taken on positions at Ray-Ban and Puma.

The album has been in the works since at least 2023, per Rocky's 2024 Billboard interview. But it was pushed back several times after the initial announcement of its anticipated release date, Aug. 30, 2024.

Though the full track list hasn't been made public, Rocky has released several songs that were originally intended to be singles for "Don't Be Dumb," including "Riot (Rowdy Pipe'n)," "Taylor Swif" and "Highjack."
He also opened up to Billboard about a track called "Shroom Cloud."
In interviews, Rocky has also name-dropped collaborators such as Tyler, The Creator, Danny Elfman, Pharrell Williams, Mike Dean, Metro Boomin and Morrissey.
