Kewan Lacy injury update: Ole Miss RB hurts hamstring vs Miami in CFP

Mississippi football might be without one of its biggest offensive stars vs. Miami in the Fiesta Bowl.

The Rebels' star running back sustained a right hamstring injury at the end of his 73-yard rushing touchdown to start the second quarter of Thursday's College Football Playoff semifinal against No. 10 Miami at State Farm Stadium in Glendale, Arizona.

Lacy missedOle Miss' fourth drive of the night as Logan Diggs took snaps and carries at running back and was not immediately in the Rebels' ensuing drive as they trailed 17-10.

Lacy appeared to have sustained a hamstring injury during his 73-yard touchdown run. Here's a video of Lacy's touchdown run, where you can see Lacy slowing down a bit as he reached the end zone:

ESPN's broadcast showed Lacy on the sidelines during the Rebels' fourth offensive series, working out his hamstring to keep him moving. ESPN's Laura Rutledge reported that members of Ole Miss' medical staff told Lacy they wanted to keep his hamstring warm while out of the game and that they could do something for him at halftime.
