Charmedforever.
It isn't just the title of the supernatural drama's series finale; it's the attitude one of its original stars carried long after hercontroversial firingfrom the show.
Holly Marie Combs, who played the more grounded Piper Halliwell toShannen Doherty's feisty Prue, revealed on Tuesday's episode of theHouse of Halliwellrewatch podcast that Doherty was, in fact, cooking up some excitingCharmed-related plans before herdeath in 2024at the age of 53.
"There was nothing that we couldn't accomplish," Combs told her cohosts, fellowCharmedalums Brian Krause and Drew Fuller. "I think back [on] all the things we wanted to do, and all the things we had planned. I kind of feel bad that I'm not doing all of them, because by now she would have had us doing three, four different things, including our ownCharmedconvention in the U.S.A. [or] our own home brand."
"She just had copious amounts of inspiration around her all the time... She had so many ideas brewing all the time. There are so many scripts she had," Combs shared, including "show ideas that she had for us."
Combs digressed into a conversation about Doherty during a discussion aboutCharmedseason 4 episode "Muse to My Ears," in which a wicked warlock sets about trapping all the muses of the world to harness their creative energy for evil.
The actress realized that in a way, Doherty, with whom she remained close long after she departedCharmedin season 3, acted as a muse to her.

"I had Shannen telling me for most of my life, if we want to talk about muses and cheerleaders and people," Combs began. Cutting herself off, she instead offered an anecdote to illustrate just what Doherty meant to her. Describing pictures of Doherty she put up around her barbecue, Combs reflected, "At one point when we had a crushing day, and I was sitting there covered in various degrees of grease, I realized the pictures I put around it [were] like I was building this shield of armor."
"Her inspiration was boundless," Combs emotionally shared. "There was nothing that we couldn't do."

Though both Combs and Dohertyhad a falling outquite early on with their fellowCharmedone, Alyssa Milano, their friendship remained in tact over the years. After Doherty's death, Combspenned a heartrending tributeto the90210star, whom she called "My better half of 31 years."
"There is a hollow in my chest and I can't seem to catch my breath. A part of me is missing even though I know exactly what you would say to me right now," she wrote. "I know your undying spirit will live in me and my kids who you loved as your own."
