Retirees face another financial hit thanks to a big jump in the cost of healthcare. The jump in cost for Medicare Part B is expected to outpace Social Security's annual cost of living allowance uplift next year, as well as the general rate of inflation. Medicare Part B - which covers expenses like doctor visits, outpatient hospital services, and some home health care - currently costs seniors $174.70 per month.
