The normally quiet village of Sea Cliff, New York, was upended by a bizarre political drama when Pirate's Booty creator Robert Ehrlich declared himself mayor before a single vote was cast. Despite Ehrlich's bold claim and unconventional campaign, incumbent Mayor Elena Villafane won Tuesday's election decisively. Ehrlich, who also owns the Holiday Cocktail Lounge in New York City, sparked the chaos by waltzing into the town's Village Hall on March 10 and announcing his mayoral takeover, complete with the firing of all village staff.
