Members of Fordham University rowing team rushed to hospital after terrifying incident on the water
More than a dozen people were rushed to a New York-area hospitals after members of the Fordham rowing team capsized in choppy Eastchester Bay on Saturday. New York City Fire Department officials say both athletes and staff as well as other students were on the water near City Island when the vessel overturned. A witness called 911 at around 12:15pm local time as a civilian boat helped to bring all 19 people to shore at a peninsula known as Rodman's Neck.
