Thousands of popular meat products recalled over plastic shards that could be deadly
Nearly 23,000 pounds of sausages sold by a popular brand are being recalled over fears they may contain shards of hard plastic. Johnsonville is recalling its cheddar bratwursts, sold in groups of five in sealed firm tray packages. Two customers have reported plastic in their sausages so far, although no injuries due to this have been revealed to date. Officials fear the plastic shards pose a risk of dental injury or choking for consumers.
