Paramount's new series, "Star Trek: Starfleet Academy," debuts Thursday, Jan. 15. Set in the 32nd century (3101 to 3200), this new take on thesci-fi classicis about up-and-coming space cadets.

"New cadets arrive at Starfleet Academy, where college life collides with high-stakes missions. Under the watchful eyes of their instructors, friendships and loyalties are pushed to the brink, and every decision could shape the future of the Federation," the Paramount Plusshow descriptionreads.

Ahead of the series premiere, CBS launched aStarfleet Academy websitemodeled after a real university, where viewers can learn aboutcampus lifeaboard the U.S.S. Athena andmeet the diverse faculty. To check out the site, visitstartrek.com/StarfleetAcademy.

"Star Trek: Starfleet Academy" premieres on Thursday, Jan. 15, on Paramount+. As of Jan. 13, Paramount has not shared an official release time for the series' first two episodes.
