On Wednesday, Feb. 18, Levinrevealed that TMZhas received another note, though this one appears to be more of a ransom note, similar to the initial unverified ransom notes that were sent to various news stations early on in the investigation.

TMZ reports that someone sent a "sophisticated" note with a demand to be paid in cryptocurrency other than bitcoin in an amount that's close to the initial $6 million ransom.

"This email graphically describes the consequences if the ransom isn't paid," TMZ reports. The outlet said it would not be sharing any additional details about the email, which has been sent to the FBI.

As far as the public is aware, whomever is sending these notes, whether they be legitimate or not, has not provided the Guthrie family with proof of life.

Ina different note sent to TMZ earlier this week, someone claimed to know the identity of the person behind Nancy's disappearance. Whomever sent that note asked for 1 Bitcoin up front for the information and another after an arrest had been made. That note indicated that Nancy had been taken across the border and was in Mexico.

In it's latest update, TMZ claims that law enforcement has contacted authorities in Mexico. OnTuesday, Feb. 17, Pima County Sheriff Chris Nanos said there was no indication that Nancy was taken across the border.
