The moon was a supermoon, which typically look about 30% brighter and up to 14% larger. Stargazers won't have another opportunity to see a supermoon until the end of the year. There will be one in November and another in December.

Photographers captured the moon in photos from around the world. Here's a look in case you miss the moon over the weekend.

Man who broke windows at Vance's Ohio home is detained, the Secret Service says

CINCINNATI (AP) — A man who broke windows atVice President JD Vance'sOhio home and caused other property damage was detained early Monday, the U.S. Secret Service said.

The man was detained shortly after midnight by Secret Service agents assigned to Vance's home, east of downtown Cincinnati, agency spokesperson Anthony Guglielmi said in a statement emailed to The Associated Press. He has not been named.

The Secret Service heard a loud noise at the home around midnight and found a person who had broken a window with a hammer and was trying to get into the house, according to two law enforcement officials who were not publicly authorized to discuss the investigation and spoke on the condition of anonymity. The man had also vandalized a Secret Service vehicle on his way up the home's driveway, one of the officials said.

The home, in the Walnut Hills neighborhood, was unoccupied at the time, and Vance and his family were not in Ohio, Guglielmi said.

The Secret Service is coordinating with the Cincinnati Police Department and the U.S. attorney's office as charging decisions are reviewed, he said.

Vance's office directed questions to the Secret Service and said his family was already back in Washington.

Walnut Hills is one of the city's oldest neighborhoods and is home to historic sites, including the Harriet Beecher Stowe House.

Associated Press writers Mike Balsamo and Sarah Brumfield contributed to this report.

Cuba says 32 Cuban officers were killed in US operation in Venezuela

HAVANA (AP) — AnAmerican military operation in Venezuelakilled 32 Cuban officers over the weekend, the Cuban government said Sunday in the first official death count provided of the American strikes in the South American nation.

The Cuban military and police officers were on a mission the Caribbean country's military was carrying out at the request of Venezuela's government, according to a statement read on Cuban state TV on Sunday night.

What the Cubans were working on in the South American nation was unclear, but Cuba is a close ally of Venezuela's government and has sent military and police forces to assist in operations for years. Rumors of the deaths circulated on the island over the weekend.

"You know, a lot of Cubans were killed yesterday," U.S. President Donald Trump told reporters aboard Air Force One as he flew Sunday night from Florida back to Washington. "There was a lot of death on the other side. No death on our side."

The U.S. operation Saturdayseized Venezuelan President Nicolás Maduro and his wife to face prosecution on an indictment accusing them of participating in a narco-terrorism conspiracy.

While Venezuela's governmenthas acknowledged that a number of people died in the American blasts, they did not confirm how many were killed to The Associated Press.

Cuba's government announced two days of mourning for the Cuban officers who were killed, and former president and revolutionary leader Raúl Castro and President Miguel Díaz-Canel sent condolences to their families. The names of the dead and the positions they held were not immediately disclosed by Cuban authorities.

"Faithful to their responsibilities for security and defense, our compatriots fulfilled their duty with dignity and heroism and fell after fierce resistance in direct combat against the attackers or as a result of the bombings of the facilities," the official statement said.

U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio, the son of Cuban immigrants, also pointed to Cuban involvement in Venezuela over the weekend, saying that Maduro's internal security apparatuswas headed by Cubansand that they were "propping up Maduro."

"All the guards that help protect Maduro — this is well known — their whole spy agency, all that were full of Cubans," Rubio said.

Associated Press reporters Megan Janetsky in Mexico City and Darlene Superville aboard Air Force One contributed to this report.

Cadillac hires Zhou Guanyu as reserve driver for its debut F1 season

SILVERSTONE, England (AP) — NewFormula 1team Cadillac made another experienced hire Monday with the choice of former Sauber driver Zhou Guanyu as its reserve.

The only driver from China in F1 history, Shanghai-born Zhou hasn't raced since 2024 but spent last season asreservewith Ferrari, which is supplying engines and gearboxes for Cadillac's debut season. That means he brings "relevant and recent experience" to Cadillac, the team said.

Zhou will be the backup to Cadillac's even moreexperienced pairingof Valtteri Bottas and Sergio Pérez, who have a combined 16 wins and 527 starts between them.

"We wanted a candidate who had recent F1 driving experience, is prepared to work hard as part of a team and understands the challenges of developing a car throughout the season," team principal Graeme Lowdon said in a statement.

"Zhou fits the bill perfectly. He will be a great asset to us as we go racing in 2026 and we look forward to him being an integral part of our team."

Zhou's arrival also gives the Cadillac brand visibility in China, where he is acelebritywith a major commercial profile.

Zhou was Bottas' teammate over three seasons with Sauber, including under the Alfa Romeo name, from 2022 through 2024 and had a best race finish of eighth. His Ferrari duties last year included atest of 2026-specification tiresin September when Lewis Hamilton was absent for personal reasons.

Cadillac is alsobacking U.S. driver Colton Herta, formerly of IndyCar, through a season in Formula 2 in 2026 alongside test driver duties for the F1 team. That will help Herta get the points he needs for an FIA super license to make him eligible to drive in F1 in the future.

Warriors injury report

Seth Curry is out dealing with left sciatic nerve irritation.

Two-way player LJ Cryer and Malevy Leons are with the G-League affiliate, Santa Cruz Warriors.

Warriors keys to victory

  • Who's the answer for Kawhi: Warriors will have to throw multiple defenders at Clippers forward Kawhi Leonard to try and stop him. Expect heightened defensive focus from everyone, especially De'Anthony Melton, Gary Payton Jr., Draymond Green and Jimmy Butler.

  • Productivity from bench: Bench production is key for the Warriors. When they're playing together and get going, they can compliment Golden State's stars well. Last game they outscored Utah's bench, 46-30.

  • Unselfish play, spread the ball around: When the Warriors are at their best, they are playing a well-rounded version of team basketball. Everyone is in motion, getting good looks whether at the rim or open shots. The key will be to knock down those looks when the opportunity arises.
