A laundry expert has claimed detergent companies are taking advantage of the fact customers do not know how much product to use in their washing loads. Taryn Rooms explained in a TikTok video that most households use 'double' the amount of detergent necessary for a typical load because they fill the whole cap. 'Most people already use more than what the manufacturer recommends... It's ridiculous how much they make you think you need,' Rooms wrote.
