Bizarre reason affluent Bay Area town may ban pickleball

Town council officials in Ross, California, are considering banning or regulating pickleball courts at private residences for a curious reason: it's a noisy sport. The wealthy town in Marin County discussed the possible ban during a September 12 meeting following an increase in noise complaints from Bay Area residents. 'Obviously, the noise is the big problem,' said Council Member Mathew Salter at the September 12 meeting via San Francisco Chronicle.
