Jimmy Carter's grandson gives an update on the former president's health as he nears his 100th birthday
Jimmy Carter is turning 100 on October 1 after spending more than 19 months in hospice care and losing his beloved wife Rosalynn last year. The former president's grandson shared a health update this week, noting he is physically diminished but still mentally and emotionally present. Jason Carter provided the latest during a celebration of his grandfather on September 17 at the Fox Theatre in Atlanta. The Jimmy Carter 100: A Celebration in Song concert birthday celebration included performances and celebrity guest appearances from Renée Zellweger, Dale Murphy and Killer Mike.
