New York Jets cornerbackKris Boyd remains hospitalized after being shotin the abdomen on Sunday outside of a Manhattan restaurant, but he has been upgraded to stable condition,according to the New York Police Department.
Jets head coachAaron Glenn said Wednesdayhe spoke with Boyd after the shooting and the 29-year-old is in "good spirits."
"That's what eases my mind, that he's in good spirits," Glenn said. "His wife and his kid, they're in good spirits and he'll walk away from this just fine."
Boyd has since undergone multiple procedures to remove a bullet from his right lung, according to ABC News.
On Tuesday, police released images of a man they are seeking in the investigation. No arrests have been made.

According to ABC News, Boyd and his friends got into an altercation outside of the restaurant with a group of people that included the man police are seeking. A shot was fired during the scuffle and Boyd was hit. He was taken to Bellevue Hospital, where he was initially listed in critical but stable condition.
"The first thing I thought about, he just had a kid and I'm thinking about his wife, I'm thinking about his kid and I want to make sure that he's OK," Glenn said,via ESPN's Rich Cimini. "And that's the only thing that really went through my mind ... I'm happy the fact that he's going to come out of this thing really, really well."
Boyd signed a one-year, $1.6 million deal with the Jets this offseason after two seasons with the Houston Texans. He was placedon injured reservein August with a shoulder injury, however, and has not played since.
The Jets did not play Sunday. Theyfell to the New England Patriotsin Massachusetts on Thursday night, which dropped them to 2-8 on the season. They will be back in action Sunday against the Baltimore Ravens.
