The singer spoke out about the scary situation in a video shared on his Instagram Stories
"You know how hard you got to pull to rip those out of my head?" Kravitz said
Lenny Kravitzhad a scary encounter with a fan at his latest concert.
The singer, 61, performed in Brisbane, Australia, on Friday, Nov. 21, as part of his Blue Electric Light tour.
In avideoshared on his Instagram Stories after the show, Kravitz said a female fan ripped multiple dreadlocks from his head while he was performing.
"Brisbane, that was wild. That was wild," Kravitz began. "So when I went out for 'Let Love Rule,' a very excited young lady pulled four dreadlocks out of the back of my head."
"You know how hard you got to pull to rip those out of my head?" he continued, then adding: "Damn, baby."
Despite the startling incident, Kravitz said he wasn't going to let it stop him from performing onstage.
"Anyway, I'm not gonna stop coming out there for 'Let Love Rule,' because that's what we do. That's our moment together," he said.
Added theHunger Gamesalum, "Brisbane, you're wild. I love you."
A representative for Kravitz did not respond to PEOPLE's request for comment.

Kravitz's Brisbane show took place after he recently performed several concerts in Australia and New Zealand this month.
His Blue Electric Light tour promotes his 12th studio album of the same name, which was released in 2024.
"Coming to New Zealand for the first time and returning to Australia after so many years is giving my soul the most beautiful energy," Kravitz wrote in a seperateInstagram poston Nov. 21.
"You all are amazing. Thank you for sharing this with me. Let's keep going!" he added.
The "Fly Away" musician will nextperformin Melbourne on Nov. 25, followed by Mildura and Adelaide for his final shows this year.
Kravitz will resume his tour in 2026, kicking it back off in Mexico City on March 14.

Kravitz previously performed a five-night residency in Las Vegas as part of his Blue Electric Light tour.
Speaking with PEOPLE about the residency, Kravitz said, "I am a student of music and music history and show business, and Vegas is legendary."
"It's changed. It's not the same Vegas it was in the '50s, '60s and '70s, but it has its history. So to be part of that and say, 'Hey, I played Vegas. I'vedone a residency in Vegas.' It's cool," he continued.
