Michelle Pfeifferplans to dedicate more time to her growing family.
TheOh. What. Fun.star, 67, shared in an interview withFox News Digitalthat she was feeling very "blessed" after completing her new film and after finding out her daughter Claudia, 32, welcomed a baby in 2024.
"I am feeling very blessed for the opportunities that are presenting themselves to me and loving the work. I've been like working with incredible cast members in all three things that I've done recently — great directors, great material," Pfeiffer said.
"However, little did I know my daughter was planning on getting pregnant, which she did successfully," she added. "And lo and behold, here I am working a lot."

The actress — who also shares a son, John, 31, with her husband, TV writer and producerDavid E. Kelley— noted that due to the latest addition to the family, she wanted to spend more time with her loved ones.
"So, I think I'm going to have probably most of next year off, which I'm really looking forward to," she admitted. "Look, it's an embarrassment of riches, honestly. It's like, 'wah.' "
She further explained her decision, saying, "I do feel like ... I'm just really wanting my choices and the way I spend my time — whatever time I have left — to spend it meaningfully is what I'm focusing on."
TheAnt-Man and the Waspactress previously shared similar sentiments during her appearance on theSmartLesspodcast. While speaking about her future in acting, Pfeiffer said that she doesn't "have time nor the desire to go that deep for that long and not be present" for her family.
"I don't have time nor the desire to go that deep for that long and not be present. I realize I have a finite amount of time left and — I might announce on this show — that I became a grandmother last year," she said. "I've been very quiet about it and it is — it's heaven. It's ridiculous."
"And if I had known that I was going to be a grandmother, I wouldn't have taken on so much work, but I've enjoyed everything and I'm really grateful," she added. "I've loved — I love each of these projects. And so the weird thing is that giving up that angst about the process has freed me up and I feel in some ways has made me better.'"
Pfeiffer previously took a break from Hollywood to focus on her family before making a return to acting once her children grew up. She toldInterviewin 2017 that despite being away, she "never lost my love for acting," adding, "I feel really at home on the movie set."
"I'm a more balanced person, honestly, when I'm working," she continued. "But I was pretty careful about where I shot and how long I was away, whether or not it worked out with the kids' schedule. And I got so picky that I was unhirable."

She shared onThe Skinny Confidential Him & Herpodcast in 2023 that it was her kids who motivated her to return to the screen. She recalled, "They said, 'Mom, are you ever gonna go back to work?' I said, 'What do you mean? Isn't it great that I'm home?' "
