Bosch was born in Santiago de Teapa, which is part of Mexico's Tabasco state.

She opened up about her family during a September 2025 conversation withHola!, saying that she is "very proud" of them.

"They are honest, hardworking individuals who strive to give their best to others," Bosch said. "I admire and deeply respect my father; he is an honorable man."

Bosch didn't always know she wanted to be a beauty pageant queen. In fact, she toldHola!that she "used to have a poor impression of beauty pageants."

However, that all changed when she spoke with the director of Miss Universe Mexico, who helped her realize "they are making history by changing the narrative."

Bosch watched pageants with her mom as a child and might've had a moment that foreshadowed her future as a pageant queen. While chatting withHola!, she recalled a video of her 5-year-old self being asked what she wanted to be when she grew up.

"I want to help all people," she said, which was followed by an almost "beauty queen wave" as she gestured goodbye.

She continued, "Back then, it didn't mean much to me when I saw the video, but now it makes sense. I've always enjoyed helping others. Looking at that video now, I realize that I kind of had that desire within me unconsciously as a child."

Per her official Miss Universe biography, Bosch has volunteered with sick children, promoted environmental awareness and supported migrants and mental health issues, according toNBC San Diego.

She studied fashion and is a designer

In a March 2025Instagrampost showcasing the hoodies she created, Bosch wrote that, as a designer, she has "always felt a commitment to join social causes that inspire and unite us, because fashion can also be a voice of empathy and change."

The 2025 Miss Universe competition was marked by several controversies and scandals, including one that involved the winner herself.

In early November, pageant executive Nawat Itsaragrisil spoke to the contestants about his expectations that they will "promote the host country" during a livestream on thepageant's official Facebook page. He warned them, "Be careful. You are in Thailand. You are in a game."

Itsaragrisil then called out Bosch for allegedly refusing to partake in a photo shoot meant for contestants to share on social media, though she stood up to deny the claims. He continued to chastise her, going on to claim she was acting in the interests of her country's pageant director and calling her a "dummy."

When he asked why she was still standing, the pageant queen said, "Because I have a voice," adding, "You are not respecting me as a woman."

Itsaragrisil called for security, and Bosch walked out of the room — with several contestants following behind her — and left a final message for the executive before leaving the auditorium: "As women, you need to show respect for us. I'm here representing a country, and it's not my fault that you have problems with my organization."

Neither the Miss Universe Organization nor Bosch immediately responded to PEOPLE's request for comment at the time.

Later that day, Miss Universe released a statement on Instagram, stating its dedication to "upholding the highest standards of respect, safety, and integrity for all participants, staff, and stakeholders."

Meanwhile, Bosch addressed the media in a video shared bypageantry_comon Instagram."Your director is not respectful. He called me dumb," she said. "I think that's not fair because I am here. I do everything okay. I don't mess with anyone. I just try to be kind. I think that the world needs to see this because we are empowered women and this is a platform for our voice."
