Michael Vartan, is that you? The 57-year-old actor was spotted in Los Angeles on Monday, Jan. 12 and looked completely unrecognizable.
In photos obtained by PEOPLE, Vartan, who was seen with a scruffy beard and long hair, was dressed in a sweatshirt and sweatpants as he left a grocery store. He had an L.A. Kings hat on over his long hair.
Vartan is best known for costarring alongsideJennifer GarnerinAlias. The two played spies and love interests in the ABC thriller, which ran from 2001 to 2006, with Garner, 53, playing Sydney Bristow and Vartan as Michael Vaughn.
Vartan is also known for starring in 2005'sMonster-in-LawalongsideJennifer LopezandJane Fonda, and playingDrew Barrymore's love interest inNever Been Kissedin 1999.
His last major role was in anE!dramaThe Arrangement, which also starredChristine EvangelistaandJosh Henderson. The show ran for two seasons, from 2017 to 2018.
Since then, he's taken a step back from Hollywood and has rarely been seen in public.

While starring inAlias, Vartan was romantically linked to Garner andthe pair have stayed close in the years since.
When he turned 50 in 2018, the actress paid tribute to their on-screen characters with a birthdaypostfor Vartan. "Can you believe this baby face is 50?!" she wrote on Instagram.
She also posted for his 55th birthday in 2023. She shared a cutethrowback photoof them and wrote in the caption, "I can't remember why I was Bavarian, but I do know today is your birthday. I hope it's a great one, Michael!"
